Millie Vale Perry was a perfectly healthy baby, with a perfectly healthy pregnancy. Yet somehow all along, I had a feeling something wasn't right. On Saturday 2-29-2020, she stopped moving. Our world was shattered in one instant, hearing the words “there is no heartbeat.” She was lost due to a triple nuchal cord and true knot in her cord. Ironically those knots form between 9-12 weeks and all of the feelings of nervousness in her pregnancy were for good reason - a mother's intuition is the strongest force of nature. Millie has changed us in both excruciating and joyous ways. Our hearts are broken but full of a better love for others. Our oldest daughter Lyla asks me to sing A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman, nearly every night. After Millie died, I thought "how beautiful that I'll be singing her name every night - oh how God puts purpose in these tiny things like a bedtime song." I've long wanted to find a way to make beauty from her ashes, and thus "A Milleon Dreams" was born. Along this journey I've heard from so many who left the hospital empty handed, except for the medical bills for a baby that didn't come home on earth. For a mom whose child birth resulted in an angel. This is my way of raising Millie from the ashes - to help others have one less thing to worry about as they face a living nightmare. We are thankful you are here. What a heart you have! - Love Holly, Greg, Lyla & Sutton and Millie Perry
